OUR MISSION

Empowerment through Training: Empower the lives of individuals facing barriers to employment through comprehensive work preparedness/foodservice training, soft skills training, supportive services, targeted job placement and job retention efforts.

Social Enterprise: Self-generate revenues through food-service-based social enterprises that provide real-life training opportunities, financial support of the program and a touch point with the community.

Cost-effective, Nutritious Meals: Provide benefits to the community through the economic efficiencies of a centralized kitchen that prepares nutritious meals for disadvantaged populations and others on a contract basis, and to the public on a retail basis.

Link to Local Food Economy: Utilize the assets of local food producers and manufacturers whenever possible to connect supplier with consumer while educating, developing markets for and promoting local agricultural wealth through culinary arts.

Community Based Philanthropy: Values and business decisions applied to both Leaf, Loaf & Ladles employment preparedness as well as social enterprise operations are to be guided by community based philanthropy, illustrating how individuals can effectively re-connect and give back to their community through daily work supplying a binding universal need: food.
