WELCOME
TO LEAF, LOAF & LADLE, A PROGRAM OF THE RESOURCE CENTER
FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING (RCIL)
Employment is a core, basic ingredient for Independent Living.
Food is the vehicle Leaf, Loaf & Ladle utilizes as a way
to connect individuals within our community. Whether you participate
in our work preparedness program in order to enter employment
or you are a client using our catering services, food ultimately
connects us all.
WORK PREPAREDNESS/JOB
SKILL TRAINING
Leaf, Loaf & Ladle works with individuals to create employment
goals, then provides the tools necessary to successfully enter
the job market. Our services include:
-Employment preparedness;
-Individual case management;
-Life skills training;
-Direct job placement assistance;
-Continued support for all aspects during employment
Teaching within the commercial kitchen at RCIL’s Smith
Center for Advocacy, the work-preparedness program is designed
to be a hands-on experience. Catering and contracted meals
are prepared and served on a daily basis, offering the unique
opportunity to learn in setting which demands real life employment
skills and responsibilities to be taught and applied. If you
or someone that you know is interested in learning more about
our program. Click here to
contact us for more information on this program.
LEAF,
LOAF & LADLE CONTRACT MEALS

prepared and served to the senior participants of RCIL’s
Adult Day Service program. We seek to expand our contracted
catering services to a wider community by providing nutritious,
cost effective meals by contract to additional adult senior,
youth and child care programs. Click

Action Alert: Two clicks: Send your demand that the Senate not stall the Child Nutrition Act vote! The National School Lunch Program hasn't been updated for years, and schools are struggling to meet the demand for fresh, local food. The Senate has introduced a bill with new funding for healthier food, stronger nutrition standards, and grants for linking schools to local farms -- but it's been stalled by Senate leadership, and may be postponed for another year or two. Instead of much-needed help, school lunch programs could end up with the same old status quo. Click Here to send your support!
